Dan Burchfield is retired, with 22 years of experience as an educator with numerous teaching awards. Dan has dedicated a third of his life to making a difference in our youth.
Jenna Lange
Jenna Lange is the CEO and Founder of Lange International, a communications consultancy specializing in helping executives and leaders shine in high-stakes moments. With over 20 years of experience, Jenna has coached senior leaders from Fortune 500 companies, top tech firms, and global organizations to own the room, tell compelling stories, and connect authentically with their audiences.
Kalimah Salahuddin
Kalimah Salahuddin served as a Trustee in the Jefferson Union High School District for over 12 years. She is also a mother of three adults, all graduates of JUHSD schools.
Maile Fastidio
Maile Fastidio is currently a Sophomore at Westmoor High School and a proactive leader in both her school and community.
Michael Lin
Michael Lin is a first-generation student and youth advocate from Stockton, California. As the ASB President of his high school, Michael has enveloped himself within his community and has become dedicated to mitigating educational disparities in California through VoluntHero, a nonprofit he founded and directed for three years.
VoluntHero’s mission is to provide educational opportunities to underrepresented individuals to ensure all students from any background can achieve greatness. So far, Michael and his nonprofit have reached nine cities and over 10,000 students.
With TED, Michael is excited to share his passions and expand his network into the Bay Area.

Oscar is currently a junior at Westmoor High School.
In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, experimenting with new recipes, and getting lost in thrilling horror movies. He’s excited to share his story and can’t wait to hear about the amazing journeys from the other speakers!
Toni Presta
Superintendent Presta is an experienced educator and leader with a strong background in school administration, having served in various roles including principal, director, and superintendent across multiple districts in San Mateo County. A native of San Francisco, she is committed to diversity, equity, and creating inclusive learning environments. She has successfully led initiatives such as Restorative Justice practices and supported professional development for staff.
Presta has managed budgets during economic challenges, while implementing key educational reforms and overseeing construction projects. She values community partnerships and is dedicated to fostering growth for students and staff alike.
